Kayaking

Students will love spending a day (or more!) learning to paddle with our qualified instructors on some of Victoria’s most beautiful kayaking venues. With two people per boat in our fleet or quality kayaks, students soon find that communication, cooperation, and teamwork are the best recipe for success on and off the water.

Break Away Adventures stands by its experienced guides, quality equipment, and impeccable safety record. Thankfully, Victoria offers incredible paddling spots with both flat water and rapids including the Goulburn River and Lake Eildon, the Glenelg and Anglesea Rivers and, Melbourne’s hidden gem, the Yarra River.

Abseiling / Rock Climbing

Break Away Adventures offers ½ day to multi-day climbing excursions for all ages. Abseiling and rock climbing have proven to be one of the safest and most effective ways to challenge individual comfort zones in a controlled environment.

Victoria is a climber’s paradise with venues that allow participants of all skill levels to feel the joy of reaching the top! Melbourne is home to great beginner and intermediate abseiling/climbing sites such as the Brisbane Ranges and Werribee Gorge, or test your students’ skills a bit further from home at the legendary Grampians or Mount Arapiles

White Water Rafting

Break away Adventures has a number of rivers available within a couple of hours of Melbourne.

Caving

Caving is an excellent activity to encourage teamwork, communication and leadership. Students will push their comfort zones and have to work together to navigate through the cave. Prepare to get wet and muddy.

Break Away has two locations available suitable for beginners and intermediate caving experiences within an hour of Melbourne.
